Welcome to Brocklesby Public School
Established in 1898 our school has a long and proud history with multiple generations of families attending the school and new families over the years cementing their own piece of history and personal connection to our school. As an integral part of our community for 125 years, we are proud of our history – passionate about the future.
I am enormously proud and honoured to be the Principal of this wonderful school and value, like all of our staff, the opportunity to play such an important role in the individual development of each and every one of our students.

Our positive and welcoming school culture is underpinned by high expectations, a well-rounded and challenging curriculum and our school values of Respect for Self, Respect for Others, Respect for the Environment and Respect for Learning. Our purpose is to support all learners to grow and succeed now and in the future by providing a safe, interesting and supportive environment that supports all students academically, socially and emotionally to reach their full potential. We value developing the leader within every child and right from Kindergarten we nurture this as students begin through a range of roles to develop the skills and qualities that will equip them to lead in a variety of ways from the classroom to whole school activities and initiatives.
Our teaching and learning culture is focused on challenging and growing all students and our dedicated teachers are committed to a continuous focus on improving our school-wide practices. Students’ learning growth is supported by the ongoing collection of evidence that informs a targeted and personalised learning approach for each child. As a whole school we acknowledge that our students’ success is underpinned by high levels of engagement and well-being and ensure that these remain high priorities for our school.
The social and emotional wellbeing of our students is of paramount importance to us and our programs, activities and support are planned with this in mind. We strive to develop confident and resilient students who are capable of making choices that will allow them to achieve their aspirations, take on new challenges and contribute within our school, the wider community and beyond.
We highly value our relationships and connections with our parents and the wider community. A successful partnership between the school and our families helps to ensure the most successful outcomes are achieved by our students. Parents and family are always welcome to attend school events, volunteer, be a part of Parents and Citizens Association or other groups or simply just spend time engaging with their child in the many wonderful learning experiences they undertake.
We as a school community we are very proud of our school and continue to work together to build on its commitment to excellence. As you explore our school through this website I hope you develop a feel for this too, along with the welcoming and friendly school that we are.
